Discover your swimmer’s level

Our Learn To Swim program is open 7 days a week and follows the Victorian State school terms and holidays.

Maccabi Aquatics believes that all swimmers should establish strong and beautiful techniques as they progress through the Learn To Swim program. This allows them to understand and develop the fundamental skills needed to progress into our squad program in the future.

Our program has 7 levels and each is designed to develop the skills needed to make swimmers happy, confident and safe in the water at the same time as building their love of swimming.

Our Learn to Swim program is suitable for:

  • Children 3 years and up
  • Gaining confidence in the water
  • Learning water safety skills
  • Developing strong technique
  • Increasing endurance
  • Establishing a pathway into squads

Our Learn to Swim Levels

Our Learn to Swim levels have been designed so swimmers can progress steadily through the levels. Each stage is a stepping stone to the next stage, where the skills are strengthened and developed, building happy, confident and technically correct swimming stokes.

All swimmers will be assessed at the first lesson to ensure they have been placed in the correct level. If needed, we will assign them to a more appropriate level.

Maccabi Aquatics will continuously assess your child throughout their swimming journey and move them up anytime they have passed a level.
